Moustache Hair Transplant in Turkey
The moustache alopecia has now a remedy thanks to the moustache hair transplant.
This is a sophisticated hair grafting procedure, as only one or two hairs need to be fixed at a time. Tangential incisions are made. Hair length is 1mm in order to perfectly adjust the hair’s orientation in the incision. Results are immediately visible and of excellent quality. 2 weeks after the procedure the transplanted hairs will fall out and after 3 months new (in the beginning thin) hairs will start to grow.
The hair used comes from the scalp, as this hair resembles the original beard hair the most. It is hard to find body hair that is as thick as beard or moustache hair. Beard or moustache hair has an interesting property, it always grows individually. The hair follicle also contains one hair, while the head hair in 95% of all cases grows in small groups of two to three hairs.
The classic method involves removing the hairs from the site of the scalp by using the FUE technique. The implant then takes place in fine incisions of approximately 0.7 to 0.8 mm.
The scars
If the moustache hair transplant is performed correctly with clean and fine incisions, and the grafts, from which the skin at the hair base was removed, are carefully placed, then there will be no scarring.
It will then be almost impossible to distinguish the grafts from the original hairs. The scars in the donor zone will be completely invisible, as it will be covered by hair. Even if the donor zone is completely shaved off, the scar will not become visible. FUT can be used for this type of hair transplant. It’s not used in order to avoid the linear scar in the donor zone.
There are some disadvantages, the surface of the donor zone must be shaved clean to extract the follicles. The hair transplant will thus be visible for a number of weeks. The number of extracted hairs will be limited to 1.000 a day
